history

No Better Cause is a five-man pop/rock/funk/Christian a cappella group (vocal band, if you will) out of the heartland of America, Lincoln, Nebraska. The band has been in existence since April 2002, but their sound brags a combined vocal experience beyond their youthful age.

IIn a little over three years, the group has recorded and produced four albums, with it's newest album having been released in August of 2004 entitled “Immeasurable”. No Better Cause is currently working on their fifth studio release and has plans to release its first ever “live album”. Both new CD’s are expected to be out by spring of 2006.

No Better Cause has received several awards, winning various state talent competitions. In 2003 and 2005, the group won an award for "Best Original Song" at the Rocky Mountain National Harmony Sweepstakes in Denver with songs “The Run” by Lucas Kellison and “Times Like These” by Nate Kellison. And, in 2004, No Better Cause took home the runner-up prize at the same competition for "Best Vocal Group".

No Better Cause has toured all over the Midwest to states including Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Montana, and more. The group is receiving regular radio air-play on stations all over the country, and is even receiving regular play on internet stations broadcasting worldwide.

The history of the group is a familiar question to the boys, but their answer is simple.

"Two groups-- both fragments of ensembles from our high school days-- came together after my brother (Lucas) graduated," explains Nate. Both he and Luke are brothers, and the two found an equal interest to launch a new, more focused group than past endeavors. The result came to be the hottest new vocal group in the Midwest, No Better Cause.

Members have come and gone, but the goal remains the same for Nate Kellison, Lucas Kellison, Michael Evans, Ryan Chappelle, and Eric Kiple: excite and entertain audiences, create music (including the drums) using nothing but voices, and expose the Midwest to true contemporary a cappella music.
